Reward Yourself

by Alyssa on March 26, 2013

We underestimate the importance of rewards when we reach a specific fitness goal.

Did I reward myself when I ran my first half marathon? Nope.

The satisfaction that I did it seemed enough, but it could have helped me to push myself a little harder if I had a reward in mind.

For the Virginia Half Marathon in September and my other fitness goals, I’m creating a Reward List. You should, too!

The racerback and mat strap are both Lululemon, while the green top is from Free People – perfect for yoga! I want to layer it over a cute dainty sports bra for a pop. icon smile Reward Yourself

Being that today is a beautiful day in PA, I had to get a 3 miler in. It felt awesome for my first outdoor run of the year :).

Told you it was beautiful out! I wore my Brooks running shoes, which I’ll do a review on after a decent amount of runs, and my Lululemon jacket since it’s still a tad chilly out.

What do you wear to run during transition months?

I’m obsessed with that lulu top. I think I need to reward myself too… maybe for NOT running when I wanted to? :)

What a wonderful message: to reward ourselves. I’m definitely going to work on a reward system for myself. It certainly helps with creating goals along the way..something that I don’t do but I need to start. My mantra for the transition months is layers!
